The Student Guild is the official representative body for all Bloomsbury Institute Student Guild [BISG] students. It is based in 7 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3RA.
The Student Guild aims to inspire and empower students with a valued experience that extends beyond the classroom. The Student Guild encourages creativity and adventure which challenges self and others, and it constantly liaises with the right people to make this happen.
The Student Guild offers a range of services to our students, including:
- Assisting with inductions
- A welcoming environment to all Student Guild members and visitors
- An all-inclusive representation of Student Guild members
- Opportunities for active community participation
- Signposting services and facilities
- Society and club memberships and regular social events
- Disseminating of essential student cards e.g. Birkbeck library cards, and Student Central cards.

Student Representation
Student Representation creates an opportunity for the voice of every student to be heard. The Bloomsbury Institute Student Guild exists to make this a reality by representing the views of its members which comprises of every student that enrols at the Institution.
Governance
The Student Guild is governed by its Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees is made up of students (who remain full-time students) who volunteer some of their spare time to play an important and vital role within the Board.
Societies
The Student Guild runs a number of societies and clubs that enable you to build your social capital by interacting and networking with a diverse number of fellow students, lecturers, professionals and influential people outside your usual remit.
Paraguay Project
We believe in making a difference, especially within education, hence we support and fundraise periodically for the Santa Maria Education Fund.
Student’s Corner
You do not have to belong to a Society or be part of the Student Representation to contribute to the Student Guild. Every Student of Bloomsbury Institute is an automatic member of the Student Guild. The “Student’s Corner” gives you an opportunity to have your voice heard.

Alumni
Referred to as “Friends of the Guild” helps you remain connected to the Student Guild, Bloomsbury Institute, former colleagues and others who have passed through these doors at some point in the past.

We have a range of customised products for our students, also available to anyone who would like to express their allegiance.
